Dallas Willard wrote that the seven deadly words of The Church are "We've never done it that way before."
Imagine if we threw off that constricting mindset in how we approach the concept of Church. How might the church be different without those seven words?
On Sunday evening I'll be asking our faith community to interact together with three questions and then to share their responses with the community:
If there were no rules about what church had to be, what are your dreams of what 'church' could look like?
What kind of faith community do we want to be at Pierced? Why?
How might we move in that direction?
How might you respond to those questions? I am very curious.
(And for those of you who will be there on Sunday evening, this gives you an opportunity to think through your answers ahead of time).
