Hi, I graduated from Taylor in 2003 so I am familiar with you, at least from a distance :)

I stumbled upon your blog somehow and after reading this post I couldn't help but comment. First of all, I am sorry to hear that you have also struggled through infertility. We have one son but have also lost three babies through miscarriage and are currently seeing an infertility specialist. Adoption is something that has been on my heart for a long time now and something that is hopefully in our future.

Anyway, we are currently really struggling with secondary infertility and the desire to have another child. I really hope that more children are in our future, and especially adoption even if we are able to have more biological children.

I guess I just wanted to say thanks for writing about it. Sometimes it is hard to find other Christians who openly talk about issues like infertility and adoption.

Thanks so much for your message on Sunday. Your depiction of the pain and unfairness of infertility brought back bitter memories of a dark time in our lives where we thought that God had forgotten about us.

But the pain melted away when we met Josiah's birthmother, an AMAZING woman who allowed us to name him, and even be in the delivery room with her when he was born! Seconds after he was born, the nurses handed him to her; she took a long look at him and handed him to me saying, "here you go, Dad."

Josiah is 9 months old now, and I can't articulate the unspeakable joy that he's brought into our lives. I pray that everyone can experience the joy that is adoption!
