Mere Discipleship, by Lee Camp

Don't think I could recommend this one strongly enough.

J.R.

Okay. Thanks John. I'll try to pick that one up.

Hey JR,

I have been following your blog recently. I am a pastor in VA thinking about church planting and adopting.

Anyway, your post caught my attention as you referenced some of my favorite books. Great Omission is phenomenal. I would also recommend reading Willard's The Spirit of the Disciplines. Though talking about spiritual disciplines I think it is very applicable for discipleship.

Another would be John Owen's The Mortification of Sin. Owen is a tough read but Puritan Paperbacks edited the book and made it more readable. An essential for discipleship.

.peace.
