Megan and I had the (rare) opportunity of seeing a movie last weekend and saw Changeling starring Angelina Jolie and John Malkovich. We didn't know much about it going into the movie, but, wow - what an incredibly intense and moving film.
The film is based on a true story from the 1920's of a mother and her missing son and the corruption of the Los Angeles Police Department.
There were strong themes of injustice, truth and hope that ran throughout.
Very, very moving.
Malkovich plays the role of a Presbyterian pastor who chooses to stand up and fight for justice and truth with his influence. A great encouragement to see a pastor in a positive light and a challenge to me in my role to steward my role wisely.
I think I might see it again.
It's worth seeing.
